Data Transfer Watch

Just moved from "plusnet your way" to "Value"
This deals differently with the point at which you exceed the usage limit - on the ;your way', you have the option to pay no more and accept a lower speed until end of the month.
On 'Value' this option is not there - its pay up for extra usage or get disconnected - that's pretty unfriendly I think. I want to be able to set a limit and put up with slower speeds, not have to pay what is getting to the point of being higher charges for equivalent fixed price broadband elsewhere.
What's the deal on not offering the slowdown option on 'value...? It's not value if it ends up costing you more for the same thing...

What happens if I go over my allowance?
Unless you’ve set a fixed price you’ll have extra usage added in 5GB blocks until your next billing date.
If you’ve set a price limit (or chosen the ‘fixed price’ option) you’ll be restricted until your next billing date (web pages and email will work fine (restricted to 128k) but most advanced protocols such as peer-to-peer downloads, binary news downloads, FTP services and streaming will be blocked.
