A way to avoid waiting for technical support

Would it be possible for Plusnet's technical help-line to ask people to key in a phone number so I could be called back when the help-desk is less busy, rather than me waiting in a queue of unknown length unproductively?

Re: A way to avoid waiting for technical support

@Discobolus  Highly unlikely....just over 10 years ago.....  I suggested that Plusnet put in the "normal" phone system, used by many companies, that have a "help line"... that says  " Your turn is number XXX" or whatever, so you know that you are, "probably moving up the queue.. instead of suspecting you are being by-passed.. ( which in plusnets system is probably more true )

If you want "Tech help" then your best bet is to post a question on the "Tech board"...

( tech help is not limited to computers or plusnet... whatever you need help with.. lawnmower   motor bike.. camera  video.. phone... etc  ask and ye shall  receive !

)

Good idea, but don't hold your breath.

Remember Plusnet's motto - Rome wasn't built in a year.

A complex system that does not work is invariably found to have evolved from a simpler system that worked just fine

I have just found an app called weq4u which could solve the problem. It appeared on Dragons' Den

Wrong......  It has always been   "Give us time, and we`ll get there"..... for the past 10 yearss or more..... Undecided

There is no charge. On 0800 numbers you are saving 30 per minute
