The following 2 statistics really made me think about the future of the Internet this morning. Statistic One 62,700,000 personal computers where shipped in the first 3 months of 2007. This is an 8.9% increase on the previous year. HP sold 11,000,000 whereas Dell sold 8,700,000 of these machines. Source: Gartner Amazing numbers! I've not purchased a new PC in other 3 years - instead upgrading various components as and when I require them - so who is buying all of these computers? Statistic Two Online sales are predicted to grow from its current market size of £42bn to £78bn by 2010. Source: IMRG I'll pull out some more interesting facts and figures over the next couple of weeks and write an article on trends and where they are leading. regards Dean
