I've received a hub2 in preparation for full fibre, currently having hub1 on ADSL.
I want to configure the hub2 to have same name and password as my hub1 to avoid having to reconfigure various devices. Changing name is OK, but it won't accept my old 10 character password, raising error that it has to be 14 or more.
Is there any way around this?

Have you got the wrong end of the right idea?
You do not need to change the router login details ... but you might want to make the SSID and passphrase of the WiFi configuration the same as the old router.

Important to note that with the HUB TWO 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands cannot have separate SSIDs / passphrases.

To answer; I would say NO, the password requirement would be hard coded in the firmware; help says
"is at least 14 characters long, but no more than 63"
The password might appear below 2.4 GHz but it is applied to both bands.
Any further questions please let me know.

The faq says 'The WiFi password (or key) is 10 characters long and it's case sensitive.', which true
For existing hub1.
But the 'wireless password/key' as shown on the screenshot and in hub manager is 14 characters and,as original post,
If i try to change it to 10 characters I get error saying it must be at least 14

Don't you see this when you attempt to use a 10 character password
Clicking on Accept should change it to 10 characters, it did for me.

Thanks fir confirmation of that.
How then do i configure devices to use relevant band? Or does the router somehow sort it out.
I'm competent IT user but network technicalities aren't my area.

In practice everything should work, with device using 5GHz where possible, some devices might roam between the two bands.
A 2.4GHz device should just connect to the correct band.
If you have issues with this or you think you need the split band names it is probably easier to buy your own router.
What Full Fibre speed have you selected?

Yes, that us the message i get about password.
So to summarise it looks like I'll have to try to change devices to look for the new WiFi name/password.
And hope that those using 2.4 band still work.
