Setting up hub two

Basically I bought a Hub Two online, what details will need to input when setting it up for the first time?

Re: Setting up hub two

@Timalay

What do you mean by Hub 2? A Plusnet Hub 2 (can you buy them on line?), A BT Home Hub 2, a BT Smarthub 2 or another ISP’s Hub 2?

Re: Setting up hub two

@Timalay - I'd stongly suggest dropping me a private message containing your account username and the hub's serial number so it can be correctly associated with your account.

Given how new this device is, there's every chance it's still linked with the seller's account. This won't cause any immediate problems if you manually overwrite the broadband username/password with your own, however it could well cause complications in future if you ever need to factory reset the device.

Re: Setting up hub two

@bobpullen Thanks for that, being a broadband-only legacy user, I doubt PlusNet would let me sign up for a new contract.  I'll drop you a line when does arrive.  Thanks for not judging me for buying one online.  My Plusnet Hub One is starting to show its age.

Re: Setting up hub two

can you buy them on line?

Apparently, yes! There's a few on the well known auction site, although one is actually a Hub One!

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

eBay, but then again there's nothing you can't buy there it seems.

Re: Setting up hub two

This shouldn't be allowed surely?

Plusnet need to introduce return item or get charged at the end of contract imo.

Re: Setting up hub two

Yes, just looked - 3 come up straightaway.
Look like brandnew, shiny, unused Plusnet Hub 2 routers. 🙂

Re: Setting up hub two

Sorry, @Timalay Hub2 serials appear to be in the format: +nnnnnn+nnnnnnnnnnn , where 'n' is numerical.

Re: Setting up hub two

@Timalay - it's printed on a sticker underneath the removable plastic tab with the Wi-Fi password etc. on it.
