Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

Just out of interest I've started using my hub 1 again due to various issues with my network, running first a bt business hub 6 and a tplink archer vr600. My firmware is
4.7.5.1.83.8.289.1.3
Is this the most recent build....

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

Yep, @penfold the most recent (and final, IIRC).

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

Thanks @jab1

Shame there will be no more updates. Apart from wireless range it's been pretty reliable and when I've fallen back to it, it's always been spot on.

I suppose the hub2 is the router they will now concentrate on....

Thanks for that..

Recently swapped back to my Hub 1 after my BiPac router packed in

Is it just a case of leaving the router to update itself, or do I have to do anything..

BTW the last 3 digits of my serial number are...425

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

@Stampy How long has the Hub1 been disconnected? It may well have 'fallen off' the management platform, in which case, it will need re-adding, which needs the attention of @bobpullen

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

@Stampy - factory reset your unit by inserting something into the pinhole at the rear of the device until the status light flashes green. Wait five mins or so for things to come back up. I've made some changes at this side that should then result in the latest firmware being downloaded within a few days.

@GrahamMackie - same applies to you if you're still experiencing problems.

@Nelly2 - a replacement hub should arrive with you next week.

@jab1 - we do still ship Hub Ones to customers who take ADSL products from us (and those on ADSL with Hub Zeroes who recontract), however those shipments are fairly few as ADSL is no longer offered at point of sale if a superior technology is available.

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

@bobpullen Cheers for setting me straight. I bet you have a lot of 'spare' Hub1's - and no, I don't want one. 😀

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

@Stampy - that suggests the newer firmware may already have been downloaded. Try rebooting the hub.

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

Another user here with a similar DNS/modem problem, strangely only starting to be a regular problem recently. As for others, we either have to reset the modem every day, or use an alternative DNS (eg 8.8.8.8) instead of the router DNS on connected computers, tablets etc.

I wondered if this meant our Hub One had been updated recently, but now I have read this thread and the modem software is reported as 4.7.5.1.83.8.237.2.2 Last updated unknown, that is not the case, and if I read correctly I am not sure this can be updated now.

I have been round and round the online help system but can't see anyway to request a new modem (if an update is not possible), so hopefully someone can help here.
