Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

No problem, @peteradie . As I said, you'll have to wait for Bob to pick this up. My guess is that he will offer you a new Hub, possibly for the P&P charge, but maybe for free - your current Hub cannot be updated.

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

Hello

i am in a similar situation to the O/P, having just started using my Plusnet Hub 1 after the recent demise of my old BT Fibre Modem.

my firmware is somewhat more recent at:

4.7.5.1.83.8.259

would it be possible to get my firmware updated, or is my device also now too old to be updated?

many thanks

Neil

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

@Nelly2 I think .259 is updatable, but your Hub may have dropped off the management platform. Hopefully @bobpullen will spot this now I've tagged him.

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

Hi Bob,
@bobpullen I just wanted to let you know the replacement router arrived yesterday (Tuesday) and I've successfully got it up and running. Only trivial niggle is the inability to use different SSIDs for 2.4 and 5GHz frequencies. Otherwise, all working great.

Thanks for sorting this promptly.

Cheers,
Peter

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

@peteradie There should be no need to split them with the Hub2. AFAIK, with this Hub, devices can pick the ones on which they work best.

I have a FritzBox7530 and you can't split them on there (easily), but my printer and TV selected the 2.4Ghz band, my laptop, phone and iPad the 5Ghz, as I expected them to.

Anything earlier than 4.7.5.1.83.8.259.1.1 cannot be remotely upgraded. The only solution is to replace the unit.

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

Ooops, sorry Bob - forgot @Nelly2 's was just the original  .259 release.

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

Hi,

I am getting lots of DNS errors on all devices.  I can fix the PC's by hard coding an alternative DNS server into them but this doesn't work for all the other devices.  I have checked the hub and the firmware is 2019, will a forced update help with my DNS issues ?

Thanks

Re: Hub One Firmware Update?

@GrahamMackie You should have started your own topic really. I don't think a f/w update will fix DNS issues, but I will flag this to @bobpullen and see if he can update your  Hub.
