Digital switch over issue

Hi,

I've been told i'm being moved to EE and will be sent a new hub to connect my landline.  But my hub is in a bedroom a long way from my phone.  Will i need to buy an extension cable and run it to my bedroom?

@reuben42

Welcome to the community.

That depends on the phone you are using, if it's corded one the one of these would solve your issue

Re: Digital switch over issue

The EE service my mother in law has uses EE supplied DECT handsets which were ordered at the time

My thinking is you may need to ask for an adapter.

Re: Digital switch over issue

@reuben42 It's not clear whether you will be sent one automatically, as not everyone will need one.

New customers of EE broadband/phone package can order one FOC during the order process on their website, but It hasn't been mentioned if those of us being transferred can get one for free.

Re: Digital switch over issue

@reuben42 Didn't you get an email explaining the reasons?

Plusnet will no longer be supplying a phone service, so they are transferring those who want to keep a landline over to EE. Plusnet & EE are part of the same BT group. That's why Plusnet chose EE.

Have a look here:-

Move to EE

@reuben42

Just to confuse things - you don't have to leave PN and if you use PN email which hasn't already been migrated to Greeby you lose that.

To stay with PN and keep a phone service you would need to set up a VOIP account with somebody and port your number to them once PN have changed your service to internet only.
