Connecting another Plusnet #2 router to the main one to improve wifi coverage

Hi Everyone,

I have 2 plusnet 2 routers.  I'd like to connect the second to the first via ethernet to improve the wifi coverage to run a security camera attached to the side of my garage.

I can follow basic instructions and can access the advanced menu in either router.  The guidance from other posts does not quite match the routers I have hence this post.

Thank you,

Marcus Simpson.

@Marcus_Simpson

welcome to the community

Try this link Hub two as WiFi access point

Edit: you would connect LAN to LAN port.

Re: Connecting another Plusnet #2 router to the main one to improve wifi coverage

Hello Dan,

Thank you for linking a previous post to my query.  If for example I want to have the second router mimicking the first to roam across routers can I change the router name and password to be the same as for the master router?  If so how do I do that?

I assume that in the case this all doesn't work then providing that nothing has changed on the master router a factory reset will return the second router back to its previous adjusted state?

Thanks,

Marcus.

To change the WiFi name and password to match the main router, look here

H2 - Advanced Settings - Wireless (advanced wireless).png

A factory reset does the trick.

Thanks Dan.  I'll give this a go and see how I get on.
