Hi there, Maybe someone knows how do I set up ASUS ADSL-N55U Dual-band Router for my fiber connection? I tried various configurations but the router doesn't want to connect. Maybe someone has any tips? Thanks.

@peterek79 I'm sorry but that router is ADSL only, it will not work on a Fibre connection. You either need to get a replacement modem/router which is VDSL compatible OR a separate VDSL modem and connect it to the WAN port on the Asus

To add to the reply by @MisterW .
If you want to use this with a modem you may need to update the firmware. You then need to assign one of the LAN ports as a WAN port. I used one for a while with an Openreach modem rather than use the freebie, at that time, Plusnet Hub Zero.
They also work well as a Wireless Access Port.

@Baldrick1 good point. I don't know what model I was looking at earlier, it seemed to have a dedicated WAN port, but looking at the DSL-N55U again now, you're right, it would need one of the LAN port reusing.
