Re: Sanctuary warden alarm system

Thank you guys, so that means what internet @New_ff2025 has won't affect the warden alarm.

Re: Sanctuary warden alarm system

That would seem to be te case, but I don't believe any of us are in a position to confirm that. It needs the management of the system to confirm that.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

I hope not. Plusnet should be activated tomorrow or Friday

Re: Sanctuary warden alarm system

I will. I'm not sure what will happen when my land line goes off . I don't think all the lights on the warden alarm system will go off

Re: Sanctuary warden alarm system

Good luck. It is sadly one of those things that needs somebody at your property to work out what is going on. we can only guess.

Re: Sanctuary warden alarm system

I emailed the company where they make my alarms and this is what they said..

Good morning,

Your scheme should have its own telephone line in, so if you're getting your own private connection, you should have nothing to worry about.

That intercom connects to the central control unit somewhere in your scheme and that is connected via the telep[hone line they have.

You shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Thanks.

Ben.

Re: Sanctuary warden alarm system

That would tend to confirm our deductions from looking at the manual. The system is completely independant from your broadband or phone connection.

So changing from Sky Full fibre to Plusnet Full fibre with the associated loss of phone service, should have no effect on its operation.

Re: Sanctuary warden alarm system

Good morning all, I'm connected to Plusnet. I scanned the QR code and instantly got connected. I also have good news that my warden alarm system is working ok.

I got an email from Sanctuary.

Thank you for your email.

Please be assured that your broadband service does not affect the warden call system. The system is hardwired into the property and operates via its own dedicated phone line. You are therefore free to change broadband providers without impacting its functionality.

Kind regards

Reply better late than never I suppose...

Change the wifi name (SSID) and password on the Plusnet Hub to be the same as the previous ones on the Sky router. All your wifi devices should then connect automatically.
