Hub Two

I have full fibre install booked for 14 Jan. When can I expect the Hub Two to arrive?

Don't want to be left without a working router as I work from home.

The "track my order" page is still showing the Hub One I had 5+ years ago. Ordered full fibre on 23 Dec so I can understand why it wasn't sent immediately, just wondered if (and when) I need to prompt them (assuming that's even possible).

Thanks

Re: Hub Two

The hubs are normally send to arrive 1 or 2 days before the go live date. However, your hub 1 will work perfectly, albeit limited to 300Mb download i believe until the hub 2 arrives.
Was a member for years, but moved from PN fttc to fttp from an AltNet. Getting 940Mb up and down. Happy to stay on here and try to help others. 

Re: Hub Two

Thanks for the reply, I assumed the Hub 1 just wouldn't work at all. Not too fussed about the speed, it's always been fine as it is, but I do have teenagers for whom it is a primary concern! 😂

I'll check again towards the end of the week for the hub 2 being sent out.

AIUI the downstream bandwidth isnt a problem, but for some reason, the upstream bandwidth is limited to around 30Mb. So it will be fine on up to a FF150 product but will restrict upstream bandwidth on higher speed products

Just disconnect the existing cable from the DSL port and connect the WAN port to the ONT (which Openreach will install) using a Cat5e (or better) ethernet cable and the Hub 1 should automatically reconfigure itself
