I'm having to organise upgrading to FullFibre while I'm out of the country so that the Engineer will visit and we get everything set up as soon as we get back to the UK at the end of the month.
I've got an engineer booking set up - well, registered anyway 🙂
The next problem is getting the upgrade to the Hub2 router. I've had to say no to the router as part of requesting the upgrade because I don't want it delivered to an empty house so the questions are..
Can I order the PlusNet Hub2 as a separate item?
How long is it likely to take to arrive?

@fudoka You can request an installation/appointment date, but it will only become a 'CONFIRMED' date when Openreach advise PN, and they advise you.
The Hub is normally despatched, via RM24 mail, to arrive 2 to 3 days prior to the confirmed date, and is packaged in such a way that it can be posted through a standard letterbox.

You do realise that someone will need to be in the house when the engineer visits ?

If you're upgrading with PN then your Hub1 will work with Full Fibre.
When a Hub2 is dispatched by Royal Mail you're sent a tracking number. The package is designed to fit through a standard letterbox.
As already pointed out someone needs to be present for a Full Fibre install as an internal ONT (Optical Network Terminator) needs to be fitted. If you already have a FTTC service I would give serious consideration to delaying the FF install until you get back. If you are present you can speak to the installer about what they plan to do - there is a certain leeway as to where the ONT goes though it must be within one meter of a power source.

That's the idea - we will be back in the UK for the requested date for the engineer - by a couple of days.

If it will fit though a standard letter box there's no problem
Now, how do I get to change my upgrade request to include the new router?

If you are away from the UK, that could be a bit tricky, as you would need to contact PN Support by phone. I would leave it until you return - as said previously, a Hub1 will work with FTTP, but will struggle/not function optimally with the higher speeds.
