How long before a new fttp reschedule date after today's installation had to be abandoned?

We had our Openreach installation engineer turn up today however, after discussions with him about installation and placement of the external box it was agreed that the installation would be rescheduled as he didn't have the equipment for an indoors installation.
I was just curious how this will be rescheduled? Will we receive email/text from Plusnet or will it be Openreach? Will it be a link where we can choose a date - similiar to the initial booking link?
Just general questions, as I want to make sure this installation doesn't go down as 'non-actionable' or something.
