FTTP - new customer v upgrade

Followup from here

I'm currently on FTTC.

Fibre boxes were installed on the poles through the village earlier this week and both the BT and Openreach checkers say full fibre is now available. (eg "WBC FTTP up to 1000 / up to 220")

Indeed if I go to the PlusNet signup page without logging in I could order FTTP as a new customer.

However if I log in to my PlusNet account I don't get any options to upgrade to FTTP.

Re: FTTP - new customer v upgrade

@Stoker Is your exchange listed as 'Fibre only'? It would help if you could post the FULL output from: https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL , but obscure your phone number.

@Stoker

Might just be the PN Members page hasn't caught up yet with the availability. I would try again tomorrow.

If still nothing doing try phoning the PlusNet Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632 to see what they say.

Re: FTTP - new customer v upgrade

@Stoker Thanks, although sight of the full report would be extremely useful. From the little provided, it is clear that you can get FTTP,  although for some reason, access to either the pole or your property requires the use of  a hoist.

If PNs records do not show availability of the product tomorrow, I  suggest you do as suggested by @bmc above  - give them a call and ask why their records are wrong, and direct them to the OR  record you have provided.

Re: FTTP - new customer v upgrade

A hoist is needed as it's an overhead feed from the pole to my roof ridge with trees in the way. Will call PN shortly ...

Re: FTTP - new customer v upgrade

Fix

Turns out there's a discrepancy in the Openreach / Plusnet databases for my address. One has house number + housename, and the other just has house name. Agent will resolve with OR but it could take a while.
