Activating your line

Just switched to Plusnet Fibre Unlimited with an activation date of 20/10/17. Old JohnLewis Broadband disconnected midday Friday (20th) but no activation from Plusnet. As CHAT and PHONE don't seem to be providing any more information other than I will get a text when the service is available, can anyone from Plusnet give me an update why activation couldn't take place on the 20th as advised?
