http://failed.billing.plus.net/apps/payment/failed

I recently had a DD payment bounce and I paid it the next day. But I am stuck with your broken captive portal - see images attached.

99% of webpages load a broken webpage with the URL http://failed.billing.plus.net/apps/payment/failed

Why does the block on access not get lifted automatically? And why is it applied immediately after the DD payment failed rather than at the end of the grace period?

Same problem as https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Account-Billing/http-failed-billing-plus-net-apps-payment-failed/td..., which is the same problem as https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Account-Billing/http-failed-billing-plus-net-apps-payment-failed/td.... So it seems it just hasn't been fixed.

Thanks for your reply jab1. The linked ticket was resolved by PN staff without the need for a phone call so I'll wait for the same. In the meantime I can disable captive portal checking in FF.

Re: http://failed.billing.plus.net/apps/payment/failed

Restrictions are applied on certain days of failed billing, but if it's before day 14, you should've been able to bypass it to continue browsing, and when you made payment they weren't fully removed, so I've sorted it now.

Apologies for the hassle, let me know if there are further issues.

Re: http://failed.billing.plus.net/apps/payment/failed

Thanks Gandalf for the fast turnaround - I can confirm it's sorted now.

For your engineers, the two issues I think could be better are:

- Why the captive portal gets in the way from day 1.

- When you click "go online anyway" (I can't remember the wording now) on the captive portal, you end up at the dead page in my second screenshot.

These two things combine to make it a bit confusing, when it doesn't need to be.

It also didn't help that the captive portal was blocking me signing up for an account on this support forum! The ReCAPTCHA assets were being blocked from loading, so I couldn't create an account. I saw the same in multiple browsers on two machines on my home network. No issue when using my phone to sign up on cellular data rather than home Wi-Fi. Another reason why applying the captive portal from day 1 is perhaps not a good idea!

Thanks again,

Tom
