Hi, I used to have an account (jsamuel) with a static IP/ptr but when moving to fibre I had to make a new account as it wouldn't sign me in. Has this been purged?

Static IPs are associated with an account. So if you've created a new account, that will not have a static IP.
Since static IPs are no longer available to new accounts. Since it would appear that the new account had to be created at Plusnets direction, you will need to wait for a staff member to pick this up and see what's possible. To set expectations, even if its possible to manually add a static IP to the new account, the possibility of getting the existing IP back is low.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

A new account where / for what?
If broadband then the old account will remain for as long as legally necessary for financial record keeping.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Hi. It was for FTTC, 2232704 was the account - it was saying and still says this to this day
Account Closing
You can't change your products for the moment, our system may be updating. Please try again later.
If you've got a Plusnet email address linked to your account this will no longer work,
so I had to create a new account

Hi there,
As MisterW stated with it being a new account, it will not allow us to add the static IP onto the account I am afraid. Just tried myself now, and I have manager permissions for accounts to, so it looks like a no go sadly. Sorry.
If you don't mind me prying, what was the static IP for?

It was for my dev home server, as software engineer and managing things remotely without having to constantly update records

Ah, okay no problem, if you need a static IP keep in mind we can always migrate you out to BT/EE for a business account with a static IP if you need. Just give us a bell and let us know if need be.

Thanks. To be honest, not keen on EE (I knew about the takeover:(. I noticed plusnet got rid of their Business packages also. Any idea why or are they just wanting to move it all to the one place?

The idea is for plusnet to be a simple, affordable, residential broadband supplier only.
Hence why plusnet emails, and any legacy emails/domains, are eventually being migrated out, anything not directly residential broadband related.
Same with Phone lines too.
Basically cutting out everything we don't support anymore/aren't planning on supporting going forward.
So that the focus can be best possible service on home broadband, customer service wise and service wise.

Call support, explain the issue, ask them to refresh the broadband component ... if they do not understand, ask them to consult ALBERT.

Customer service at Plusnet has always been top notch.
Just companies being companies I guess. Tis what happens when a single ISP owns a bunch of others, and sadly I feel like they're whittling PNET down until a rebrand (to Minus net) or a merger.
