Final bill

My account is closing down as I have moved elsewhere & my latest Plusnet bill generated today is - £17.81 & the account is now in credit.

Will the £17.81 get refunded via the direct debit to finally close down my account?

Regards

Re: Final bill

That's what happened to me when I closed my previous PN account, took a little while, so DO NOT CANCEL the DD.

Re: Final bill

Had the credit appear in my bank on Monday.

As the credit had been applied & cleared on Monday I then cancelled the direct debit on Tuesday.

Had an email from Plusnet this morning, Wednesday informing me I had cancelled the direct debit with the bank & to set a new one up 🙄

Surely the system can see the Plusnet account is closing down, its paid out a credit against a final bill & not to pester the ex customer with an email asking to set up a new direct debit.

Re: Final bill

@PowerLee  I had the same thing happen a few years ago when I cancelled my account while renting a house short term. If you are happy that you have the correct refund then no payments are needed either way so just ignore it. The Plusnet billing system is somewhat ignorant of things happening on the account, such as it being closed down. 🙄
