FREE new router - postage charged afterwards?

Hi,

I received a new router that was advertised for free but now I was suddenly charged 6.99 for postage.

Did this happen to anyone else?

Thanks

@xxxxxx Yes the router is free but you pay a Post and packaging charge. If you paid for the router it would be £99

OK. Why was I not told when I bought it?

Routers are postage free when you join Plusnet, after that they have always attracted postage charges, presently £6.99. I think PN supplies a free new router if one becomes faulty, but postage is charged. PN is a budget service which has always offered me very good value and performance so I don't mind paying for some overheads.

I don't think you actually bought it - Plusnet provide a router for "free" but it remains their property and if you leave Plusnet you have to return it or else you are charged for it.
