I've received the same email from a hotmail account. For the same amount of money, deleted it

Re: Email Scam about Account Overpayment - Beware.

and that's a "Me too!" from me, same message has just landed in an Inbox in my Outlook client.

I also had another spam message a few days ago, about how I'd renewed my McAfee account for some stupid number of dollars and that I should call a number to get it refunded.

These are the first two spam messages to actually reach my Outlook client in a very long time.

In each case I logged into webmail and reported them as spam from there.

Re: Email Scam about Account Overpayment - Beware.

Welcome to 2023 all, and to the world of phising.

Thanks for letting us know that PlusNet are being targeted but there is not much they can do about it.

Can people not do the scammers job for them please. That is to post their live links on a public forum?

Part of me thinks it may be the scammers making these posts in the first place.

Though since that would involve (at least some) intelligence on their part I somewhat doubt it.
