Quick question ... re Contract Renewal
My contract is up in 4 months time. Logging in today I notice that a Renewal offer has been posted on my page, which isn't bad to be fair .. £33.50 rising to £37.50, rising to £41.50 (£4 yearly increase)
However, has anyone had any joy in 'negotiating' with the Renewals team ?
If I was a new customer, going via my Blue Light Card, then I would get it for £28.49 / £32.49 / £36.49 (which by itseff is a decent saving) plus a £150 reward card.
Alternatively I can now jump ship and go to (for example) Vodafone @ £26.00 per month and a £120 reward card. They'll even pay up to £200 in early termination charges as well.
So, do the Renewals team actively negotiate, or would I be wasting my time ?

From my fairly recent experience, they negotiate a bit in that the headline "new customer" price was offered with some slight discussion of cost (I didn't get offered the equivalent of the voucher).
I've the impression (and it's just that) negotiation scope might be a bit less that it once was.
Having said that, I've been a customer for a while and I still think Plusnet is a good option for the cost with (from my experience) generally reliable infrastructure.
A phone call will do no harm and mentioning your other option would help get the best they can offer.
It's worth getting your contract end date closer to April as with the current set up of price rises, the total you pay over 2 years is lower the closer to April you start the contract.
