Confused about referral amounts.

I have just noticed that two of the people I have referred to Plusnet still have active accounts (Fibre 74) but whereas one friend's referral pays me ยฃ1.25, the other friend's referral only pays ยฃ0.75. Does anyone know why that would be, if they're on identical packages? Thanks ๐Ÿ˜

Possibly because one has a phone service with PN (worth 50p referral value) and the other doesn't?

Just an update to this question - I've just spoken with both friends and neither of them has a landline. They've both only got fibre.

@bigblueamazon your referral values sound a bit strange, the ยฃ0.75 sounds wrong. I wonder if one of your referrers originally had Fibre with landline and then changed products to Fibre only

Ah yes, that's it - one of them did have a landline until a couple of months ago when she renewed her contract. It just seems odd that the friend who has never had a landline earns me ยฃ1.25 whereas the one who did have it and now doesn't earns me 75p even though they're both on the same package name.

That may explain how it happened but AFAICS it's still wrong!! I'd call customer services to ask them to explain, and quote them the faq

I looked into this earlier, I think it was due to timings when the phone was removed from the other account.

Should be correct going forward and Iโ€™ll credit the missing 50p. Smiley
