Change Plusnet account holder and payee with changing anything else, after bereavement

 

Hello

My brother had a Internet contract in his house that has a Plusnet router, so I presume he is a Plusnet account holder. He has a computer running an operational non commercial website that I would like to keep running because it has photos.

Unfortunately, he took his life recently, so his bank will stop paying the monthly subscription to Plusnet. Also, I do not know his IT login passwords or how to restart the software that runs the website. 

 

Question:

Is it possible that I can replace my brother on the existing contract with Plusnet and change the direct debit to collect payments from my bank account Without needing to terminate his account and create a new account in my name with a new account number & passwords etc.

Any change to the existing account username or password or a requirement to log into a new WiFi password would stop the website working, which I do not want. 

I want to keep the existing account with Plusnet, with no change to WiFi login, WiFi password and no need for computers that are currently running to reboot or to log in again to the WiFi. The only change I want is that the name of the account holder changes from my brother to me, and the direct debit payments are collected from my bank account not his. 

Is this possible?

I am sorry for your loss.

I'd initially say that you are going to have to call Plusnet on the phone and explain your delicate situation.
