I'm with the main network of EE now not with the sister network run by PN.

Swapped to Smarty, saving £3 a month vs Plusnet Mobile, and I have 4G wifi calling.

A shame cos been with Plusnet for years but without wifi calling is not feasible,

I called Plusnet today to cancel my mobile contract because I need WiFi calling in my house. The advisor told me that this facility will be available before December! Hopefully this is correct?

I haven't any plans to share regarding if or when we'll be providing WiFi calling.

I haven't said we won't ever offer WiFi calling, I just don't have plans to share, which may or may not be the case.

Next year EE switch off 3G. Wifi Calling and VOLTE will be essential if you don't want to go back over 20 years

If there were ever to be any plans in the future, I’d be back in a jiffy 😊 Remember folks, cost isn’t everything, but I think the demarc between “standard” and “budget” services has shifted, and what was once considered enhanced is now standard expectation.

I can’t help feeling that PN want us to leave, I’ve still got one number on PN but my personal number has been moved to the big brother network with all the 21^st century workings.

I hope they update their systems soon as many other cheaper networks are adding these facilities, 1p mobile, ASDA to name two and there are others out there.

You’re not reading it right. The title says it’s NOT available. It then says the title USED TO BE “is now available”.

“Was” is the operative word.

Doh!  Missed that !

That's answered that then.  Moving to an area with no signal on Plusnet so that will be 3 x phones moving to a provider that has Wifi Calling.

Lebara have WiFi Calling & VoLTE, but no Visual Voicemail. They also have the cost advantage of not being subject to the BT ever rising fee (which is going to go through the roof next year with the current level of inflation).

They’re on Vodafone, so you might even get better reception. Try the Ofcom availability checker.

Plusnet really do need to get their act together quickly now, because budget MVNOs on other major networks are offering the same data allowances with better services for less money.
