Re: WiFi calling

So those who claim PLUSNET don't support WiFi calling are all wrong then and I should contact EE?

Re: WiFi calling

Please expand with how this is done. I've followed all the directions and it still doesn't work.

Re: WiFi calling

Plusnet as a mobile phone service provider does not offer Wi-Fi calling, but providing your phone is connected to your Hub, it should work on your home network.

Re: WiFi calling

It seems your phone may struggle with Wi Fi calling if there is still some mobile signal.

As has already been said, Wi Fi calling is not supported on PN mobile.

PN internet has no restrictions on the broadband network.

Re: WiFi calling

I have no experience of Pixel phones, but somewhere, probably in 'settings' you should see a 'Wi-Fi' tab, click that and follow the prompts.

Re: WiFi calling

@CoolerKing

I think that all the confusion is being caused by a lack of basic understanding. If you are on EE mobile and your phone Is WiFi capable then WiFi calling will work with any ISP.
The ISP that you wish to use does not have anything to do with WiFi calling, that only applies to the phone and the mobile provider.

It therefore seems that your problem is simply that your phone is not connected to your router over the router WiFi.You can’t have WiFi calling unless you phone is connected to you router WiFi.

Which Plusnet hub and what model phone have you got?

Re: WiFi calling

@CoolerKing

Follow the link provided by @Mustrum

When you get to the available wireless networks select the SSID that matches you hub's as shown on the pull out card on the back of the hub one. When it asks for a password also enter the wireless password shown on the card. If it fails to connect then come back as there are various checks and tweeks that can be made on the hub.

If it is connected properly then you should be able to switch off mobile data and still browse the web using WiFi .

Re: WiFi calling

@Baldrick1 The OPs question referred to Wi-Fi calling, not web browsing.😉

Re: WiFi calling

@jab1

I'm fully aware of that. The purpose of making this point is to bring to th OP's attention that the successful pairing of the phone can be checked out this way without having to make phone calls.

Re: WiFi calling

My router works fine on internet and browsing. My phone also uses this WiFi. The problem is that when I make a phone call, it doesn't switch to WiFi calling because my calls either drop out or don't connect at all.
