Some texts not sending from abroad

I can't send texts to people back in the UK but canswnd to my partner who is out here with me.
Any suggestions please?

Don't think it's just you - I've not been able to send texts in the UK this afternoon ..... but all the people I've tried are on GiffGaff & GiffGaff seem to have an issue with texts today according to Downdetector. It says the fault reports are clearing so may be fixed. Just tried again & it seems to be ok now.

Are the people you can't contact on GiffGaff ?

Were the people you were trying to text on the O2 network by any chance?

There was an issue on their end the other day that most likely would have caused this
