Need to contact PlusNet by email - PAC code

Hello

I'm on a rolling monthly data plan (£6) - and I have got a different contract from elsewhere.  I therefore requested my PAC code from PlusNet to be told that I would have an "early termination" fee of £28.65!

Clearly this can't be correct otherwise what's the point in having a £6 monthly contract if it costs me over 4 times that to exit the monthly plan?

I expect an urgent reply.

Only caveat to that is, I don't believe PlusNet support short codes.

After having been scammed by a different provider on them, I treat that as a good thing. I would rather text an 11 digit full mobile number (knowing I won't be able to be reversed charged back), than a 5 digit one.

@Alex  They do for the Pac code. I used it and I received my Pac almost instantly.

Thanks everyone for the replies, it is now sorted; it wasn't about the PAC code, nor the transfer etc., it was about the amount of money they were suggesting I needed to pay to end the contract; as I'm on a monthly rolling contract (as opposed to a two year one etc) there shouldn't be any "early termination charge".

Thankfully I managed to get through to speak to someone in the end.
