Data on Roaming not working in New York

Hi,

 

I landed in the US yesterday and my network operator switched to T-Mobile, however my roaming doesn't work. Any reason why? I tried switching the network operator to others manually but that doesn't work either..

I'm really sorry to hear that you have been unable to use our service while abroad.

 

Are you able to confirm when searching if any other carriers show?

 

Can you also check your APN in settings match the following: 

 

Name: EE Internet
APN: everywhere
Username: eesecure
Password: secure
MMSC: http://mms/
MMS Proxy: 149.254.201.135
MMS Port: 8080
Authentication type: PAP
APN type: If there's a choice, choose internet+mms. If the keyboard appears, type *

@Ahach do you have a Smart Cap set ?

If so you are rapidly going to reach it in the USA. Calls are £1.30/min to make, 70p/min to receive, SMS is 40p and data is an eye-watering £8/Mb! See here https://www.plus.net/help/mobile/roaming-and-international-calls/

Once you reach your cap then it seems (from other posts elsewhere) that roaming will cease and getting it to work again, even when the cap is lifted seems difficult.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
