Able to pause a sim plan?

Hello, I'm moving to Jersey for 6 months and am just wondering what the best option for me would be.
Could I use roaming when I'm there still inclusive of my plan, or if not is there any way to pause my sim contract (I have a 30 day contract) so I can keep my number and return to the plan when I'm back?

If Plusnet won't or can't accommodate you my recommendation would be to take a pay as you go SIM, with no monthly charges. I recommend Giffgaff. If you don't take out a Goody Bag, as they call it, then all that you need to do is make one call every 6 months to keep your account and phone number active. They email you when the 6 months is approaching.

If you transfer your number to them it will keep it retained for when you return.
