Re: IPv6 Trial Tests and Feedback

Hi.
Please include me if you expand the ipv6 trial. I've got a Fritzbox 7390 and have a successful SixXs tunnel running currently.
Thanks

Re: IPv6 Trial Tests and Feedback

Hi,
If the trial is expanded I would also like to be included.  I have a Linksys X3500 router which is ipv6 capable.
Many thanks,
Richard

Re: IPv6 Trial Tests and Feedback

Well it appears I have been added, only found out because my router "AVM Fritz! 7390" told me I have an IP v6 address in the nightly log.
Did the 3 tests on Page 1 and although I had trouble with the TB website (GChrome was blocking so tried FF and got 9/10 TB seems to think my DNS servers don't conform but I am using OpenDNS on 2620:0:ccc::2 and 2620:0:ccd::2)
The other 2 sites give me full marks.

Re: IPv6 Trial Tests and Feedback

I would be interested in joining if more slots become available. Just setup a new Billion 8800 on a miserable 1.9Mbs ADLS line (consequence of living too far from a never to be upgraded exchange.  Escape to the Country has its downsides!)

Re: IPv6 Trial Tests and Feedback

The sooner they open up more slots, or preferably expand it into at the very least an open trial, the better. The trial has been running for three years (!) now with little expansion.

Re: IPv6 Trial Tests and Feedback

I'd suggest fixing the IPv6 problems they already know about would be a higher priority than opening up the trial!

Re: IPv6 Trial Tests and Feedback

Once they work out how to configure squid for IPv6 it'll explode open.
OR am I the only one that thinks the slow adoption of IPv6 in the UK is because it's not compatible with the IWF proxy?

Re: IPv6 Trial Tests and Feedback

Squid as in the proxy? It is already IPv6-enabled...
Re the IWF proxy; yes I think you might well be the only one! It's not a potential reason I've heard discussed before.

Re: IPv6 Trial Tests and Feedback

The logical leap was as follows: A&A are (pretty much) the only ISP currently offering native IPv6 in the UK and they don't use the IWF list. Hosting providers, such as Bytemark, offer native IPv6 and they have no need to filter through the IWF proxy.
Almost every other ISP is using the IWF proxy and they are unable to roll out IPv6.
It's quite a leap I know, but logical none the less.

Correlation does not imply causation. I'm not saying you're wrong - of course I can't - but I definitely don't think you're right.  Wink

Re: IPv6 Trial Tests and Feedback

My line goes live soon, can I please join the trial. I'm currently running a HE tunnel on a custom freebsd router, but have a few other options as well

Can you add me to the trial list please, if it opens up again.
I have an Asus RT-N66U, and would like to test this - and also a Palo Alto firewall
