New router from EE.
Phone plugs into the back of it.
House extensions won't work without some work.
VOIP doesn't work during power cuts.

You will also get a plug in phone adapter so that you can connect your phone in a different location to the new hub.Phone number stays the same.

I case you're not aware you can stay with PN and port your number to a VOIP provider after you've been moved onto a SOGEA connection. New contract required and a few days downtime on the phone.
More work required to begin with but separates phone and internet which may work out cheaper in the long run.
A&A have a good reputation along with a FAQ page on VOIP. There are other providers.

@dparr1959 If you had the same email as me, then it should have answered your questions. There was also a link in the email to a FAQ page.

Multiple entries for same address - different service offerings.
This is usually connected to inconsistent information in OR’s databases and is associated with historical lines to a property.
A public house premises I was associated with had multiple lines to the building over the years. When looking for service provision I got both FTTP ONLY and FTTC available depending upon either downstairs or upstairs being used in the lookup.
Similarly with my residential property some lookup queries fail due to a “silver key” entry relating to a business line which was ceased over a dozen years ago.
It might be worthwhile asking Plusnet to do an ORDI update on your current line(s).
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

I assume that was directed at me the OP. 🙂
There's been no broadband here before us, just a copper phone line.
Databases gleaning their information from various extinct databases seem to have caused problems all round. I think its because councils, power companies and telecoms cant seem to to cope with a house with no road address. Some have actually defaulted to ordinance survey directions, with grid reference in the address for apparent clarity.
