Hi all
I have a question on SMS on my landline I hope someone can help with...
I came home yesterday to find my landline phone had two text messages on it from a delivery company. To be honest I forgot the phone even had the ability! It would be useful, so would like to use it. I can send messages no problem but whenever I send a message to my phone it always comes through as a voice message. What am I doing wrong and how did the delivery company manage to send a text rather than voice message?
Thanks
Nick

Hi Nick,
I'm not entirely sure why it would be different when you send a message to the phone, to be honest.
I would have a read through the phone manual in case it mentions it in there. There's not much support we can provide since it's a feature specific to the phone.
Other users may be able to shed some light if you confirm what make and model the phone is? Maybe there's someone here who has the same one!

IIRC there's some kind of 'curfew' time you can set via the BT Text delivery system (done via a phone number - sorry I don't have the number at present), dependent on whether a text is sent before or after the curfew time set it will be delivered as a text or as a 'voicemail'. Did you send your test text late evening rather than daytime perhaps?

Thanks guys.
I can't get to the bottom of this - very confused. I can use my home phone to send SMS messages no problem. If I send a message to my mobile it comes through as it should. If I then reply to it, my home phone rings and I get a voice SMS. Not a major problem, but my panasonic handset is definitely SMS compatible and the fact that I came home to two SMS text messages from the delivery company is confusing me. What do the delivery company have that I don't or what am I doing wrong? I have tried sending multiple times during the day and night, with no difference, so any other suggestions gratefully accepted!
Cheers
Nick
