Phone not working

Broadband is working fine but landline won't send or receive calls . Market Weighton ,York

Am guessing it's Openreach, but they say to report it to Plusnet first

 Thanks for that, I worked through to the " we'll test your line" point, tried twice and got message :

The result of your line check is unclear

In the meantime, problem has been fixed,  all fine again.

It's possible that there's a corroded joint somewhere on your line which doesn't affect broadband (RF) but does present a disconnection to the phone (DC).

Often a line test can temporarily clear the fault, so keep an eye on it.
