No dial tone

I am getting very very slow broadband speeds again after it was fixed (very temporary) yesterday so I ran the Plusnet Broadband Troubleshooter. One of its questions was do I have a dial tone....the answer is no. I have only just noticed this. I have recently had the Master socket exchanged when I did not have a dial tone, could this be the problem again?
I am unemployed and need both my broadband and phone to both look for and apply for jobs so this is getting very stressful.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

That is correct, in that it or something else is causing the problem. I have a few minutes ago used webchat and an engineer is visiting tomorrow so I hope for a more permanent fix this time!!
