New phone service not asked for.

Just had an email from Plusnet (I think) as below:-
Dear Mr Bruce,
Account username: (deleted for security)
Your new Home Phone service should be available on 1/8/2017.
Your telephone number will be [Removed].

I have been a customer since I can't remember when and I haven't asked for a new phone line and I don't live in the area the number refers to. Please tell me it's a mistake as I really don't want to pay for someone else's phone service.
