New phone service not asked for.

Just had an email from Plusnet (I think) as below:-

Dear Mr Bruce,

 

Account username: (deleted for security)

 

Your new Home Phone service should be available on 1/8/2017.

 

Your telephone number will be [Removed].

I have been a customer since I can't remember when and I haven't asked for a new phone line and I don't live in the area the number refers to. Please tell me it's a mistake as I really don't want to pay for someone else's phone service.

It looks like that e-mail was sent in error, Gerry. I am very sorry for any confusion caused.

I will be flagging that up to the relevant team to further investigate internally.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
