Crackly line

Hi Support, we have a intermittent issue with poor sound quality on calls. The voices can be heard but there is a loud crackle during th speech. The dial tone is clear and the crackle is only heard once the line rings out.
An example of this was today on an outgoing call at approx 1620 to an 01785 prefix number.
Quiet line test is clear.

I've replied to the ticket. This thread http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,128491.0.html is similar to our issue.
Is it possible that the solution to this fault has fixed our fault?
