Could you check with your daughter if caller display is working now?
I've just had a notification from Openreach to suggest it should be and they've cancelled the appointment as a result.
Let me know if not and I'll try to get the engineer rebooked for the same timeslot.

Good afternoon Gandalf,
i have just been able to contact my daughter by phone and she confirms that both Caller Display and 1471 are now working and I have told her Open Reach will not be calling on her tomorrow. If you have been told where and how the problem arose I would be very pleased to hear from you. Thank you very much for all your help.

Awesome that's a relief, I'm really glad to see this.
Unfortunately I don't know what fixed the problem as all we've received is along the lines of the fault's been cleared and no appointment's required, but the main thing is it's working!
