An unnecessary post removed.

I have had a response via email from member of the Customer Advocates Team, which I have been told there is a potential fault on my line and they have reported it to BT which can take 48 hours, I will await a response... 🤞

@Notoriousxx, I fear that from Plusnet's perspective the important part of the response is "can take 48 hours" - so they get another few days of not having to do anything about your issue.

It is difficult to imagine how a "fault on your line" would let your ONT upstream sync at 30Mbps but only allow speed tests to pass EXACTLY 20Mbps upload throughput.
Sounds like [-Censored-] to me,
if only you had a [-Censored-] detection meter ! (if Mav hadn't removed it !)
"can take 48 hours" takes you into the weekend with at least two days of no support, and then maybe another three days before support get a reply from Openreach. So you'll be back asking for an update this time next week !

@Anonymous, I think you are correct that this can't be a "line fault" as the BT test showed it is syncing exactly as expected. It is somewhere beyond that in the network that the upload appears to be capped.
if only you had a B S detection meter ! (if Mav hadn't removed it !)
Ah, I was wondering what had been removed!

To play the pedant, there is no concept of 'sync' where FTTP is concerned.
I'm interested in the outcome of the attempt to modify the speed of the circuit. Only read back a few pages but did that get anywhere?
It's not outside the realms of possibiliity that something between the Openreach and Wholesale networks is misaligned, and having the circuit regraded again might kick something into touch.

@bobpullen It would appear that the upgrade order was "stuck" (msg #130 24th March) which is 10 days ago and Openreach have not managed to do much since apart from kicking their 48 hour updates down the road.

Can't promise anything but I'll take a quick look at things tomorrow if I get a minute.

Yes, I'm aware of that but it is how support report test results. Rather like stating that it takes 10 days for the speed "to settle".

What do you think the chances of an OR test detecting such a "misalignment" are?

Shockingly, I am now getting 30upload upon doing speed tests, this has been since I raised the complaint and the Customer Advocate Team member contacted me.
Wonder what they did to resolve this and what the issue actually was. I'm keeping an eye on the speeds though to see whether it's a fluke...

I wonder why they couldn't have done whatever it was sooner.

@Notoriousxx Wonder if @bobpullen kicked something (or someone)?

for the record, can you post a screenshot of the LATENCY and SPEED results using Waveform speed test
or post here the "Share Your Results" link
.
