Is this normal?
Had a full fibre install last few days, it's working great but when gardening today noticed this .... see attachment 'Openreach_OutsideIssues.png' picture (apologies for poor quality).
Missing protection for the duct and fibre optic cable.
Fibre optic cable is just loose and away from the wall at duct end, very easy to 'snag' / 'catch' while gardening and at least one neighbourhood cat has taken a liking to it.
Lower capping missing but that shouldn't be an issue as the older copper cable and older duct aren't needed anymore.
Does this just need Openreach to come back out and
a) protect the full fibre duct with 'Connector Bend 4'
b) secure or cap the full fibre cable so that it isn't loose / can't easily be snagged
or is other remedial work needed?
How do I go about reporting this?
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Can't edit my main post again so will just clarify here.
To be clear, the picture 'Openreach_OutsideIssues.png' in previous post shows how Openreach left the external duct, fibre optic cable etc exposed after the CSP (external) and ONT (internal) install a few days ago.

Thanks for the link, not getting much luck at the moment - keep getting an AI bot response.
To make matters worse, the ducting itself is ~5cm (50mm) below grass rather than the 25cm (250mm) guide from Openreach ...
Sigh.

Remedial work by Openreach complete (picture attached Openreach_Outside_Remedial_Work.jpg apologies for poor picture quality):
- Old copper cabling removed and old collapsed ducting exit point removed
- Fibre ducting now ~20cm underground, not ~5cm
- Fibre ducting exit point moved to below CSC
- Bend 4 Connector installed and new Capping 25 installed
Very fast response by Openreach after raising complaint. Team of 3 turned up and completed remedial work in under two hours - great team, a credit to Openreach.
Thanks again to @bmc for the complaints link.

Excellent photos - despite a hazy picture the labelling on the first one really clearly illustrated the issue (for those of us who wouldn't otherwise know what the individual components might look like) and the second photo shows what a decent Openreach installation looks like.
What a difference.
Definitely worth having raised a complaint.
Many thanks for the update 😁

Your last picture shows how it should have been finished in the first place. Thanks for sharing.
FYI the cover next to the ground is sometimes known as an Elephants Foot - it expands to cover the top of the inconing underground duct.
