PPPoE still not successful:

Setup:

Interface: PPPoE

Ethernet: USB 10/100/1000 LAN  (on a mac so USB ethernet via USB adaptor)

Service name: PPPoe

Configuration:

PPoE service name: [blank]

Account name: [my broadband username]@plusdsl.net

Password: My PN login password

TCP/IP

Configure IPv4: Using PPP

Configure IPv6: Automatically

DNS

All blank

WINS

My laptop

Workgroup: workgroup

WINS servers: No WINS servers

Proxies

All off

PPP

Connect automatically when needed: off

Prompt to maintain the connection: off

Disconnect when use logs out: on

Disconnect when switching user accounts: on

Send PPP echo packets: on

Use verbose logging: off

Trying to connect using these settings I get the error: " Could not find a PPPoE server."

@jwalowe76

Did you disable the wireless connection.

I have tried a PPPoE connection from a raspberry pi today using my PPPoE server.

I found that I have to enable "Connect automatically" for the PPPoE to connect.
