Move from BT FTTP TO Plusnet

my current deal ends soon with BT, They seem keen to price themselves above everyone else and tried retentions but to no avail, ( new user price cheaper than existing to)

Anyway , Has anyone else switched FTTP provider, ( preferably to plusnet)

I use my own router ( RT2600) with bt, i assume i can use this with plusnet? Where would i get the login details for router?

on a fttp switch i assume its just the case that it switches remotly, no one comes and changes a cable etc?

Re: Move from BT FTTP TO Plusnet

Should all be done remotely, however worth considering that Plusnet don't offer a voice service so you'll lose that if it's something you have with BT.

Fine to use your own router. The broadband username will be in the format <username>@plusdsl.net; both your username and broadband password are chosen during account registration.

Re: Move from BT FTTP TO Plusnet

Hi

I have just switched from BT To PlusNet

It was simple, the only thing that caught me out was that BT switched off their service sometime after midnight

I swapped out the BT Router with the PlusNet one and was back up and running in minutes

Yours should be simpler as you can just log into the router and reset
