A mod, a staffer and a superuser all replying at the same time. What a sight to behold. Cheesy

Re: Latest on FTTP?

Nice! Yeah, my other half is fussy about wires and stuff so I figured if I can get it sorted so the engineer just needs to sort the wiring then all good, got a BT Whole Home Wifi setup so can ensure that's all good too.

and what's more, we all gave the same answer😀

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Nope, all I had to do was switch the cable - no reboot required Smiley

@probedb

You might well have a bit of leeway on the siting of the ONT - depends on the engineer on the day.

But, more to the point, as the router connects via Ethernet cable it can go where you want - if you're happy with the cable run.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

I'd be quite happy with it next to where the master socket is tbh and I've plenty of ethernet cable to make up custom lengths too 😃 Line comes in from overhead and goes into 1st floor office.

Sorry but there can only be one winner. If you don't see me around tomorrow, you'll know why. Cheesy

Re: Latest on FTTP?

Is there a postcode finder for the fttp service? I am moving to a new build that only has fttp and don't particularly want to leave plusnet. @Gandalf.

@Twobob40

Not entirely sure what you're looking for but you can use the following for your new address. Enter the post code only and then select the address from the drop down list.

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome

I assume you're aware you'll lose your phone number If you move to PlusNet FTTP.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

Sorry, I was trying to find out whether plusnet have a search for where their fttp will be available. If I use the search on the plusnet website it comes back with an error.

I have a nasty feeling they do not provide it in the area I am moving to and will end up paying to get out of my contract.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

@Twobob40 If BT have laid fibre cables in the area, then Plusnet will be able to supply. Use the link provided.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

Thanks. I have been on the wholesale checker. Fttp is a available.

I thought plusnet were only providing certain areas.
