Just had it installed as of 27th

Not sure on this and could be looking at it wrong but.

So I ordered 900mb Package.

But the router only seems to be syncing at 500mb (yes this is the guaranteed speed)

But I thinking I've been put on the 500MB package by Openreach/plusnet in error, as all I'm getting is the download speed of 250mb wireless or wired, which I believe is the guaranteed speed of 500mb?

Could this be the case or I'm I supposed to wait for the speeds to get better over a period of time?

Re: Just had it installed as of 27th

It appears that a common point of confusion for many individuals is the distinction between Wi-Fi speeds and broadband speeds, a observation I've frequently encountered in various discussions over time.
As of April 24th2026, I am now utilizing Sky Broadband, which offers full support for IPv6 addressing. Broadband Status page https://stats.uptimerobot.com/i06TwWNbhx

Re: Just had it installed as of 27th

This was a test in my routers software, not via wifi.

Your answer doesn't really help either

Re: Just had it installed as of 27th

A quick google of that and it sounds like a common complaint about the adaptive QOS can't handle the speeds, and disabling it (Adaptive QoS > QoS) usually fixes it.

Thank you!! That was the problem for the full speed connecting to the router, but I'm still getting the same problem with speed going to devices

Are those connections wired or wireless ?
