I think it's an early one with a battery back up unit.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

That picture is of a Huawei Openreach ONT Housing.
The ONT fits inside the housing, which can be screwed to a standard flush mounting pattress box. The fibre-optic cable etc can be neatly fed in from within the wall and it is all protected. The rectangular hole, (on the right in the picture), allows the ONT's LEDs to still be seen.

I bought one cheap on eBay a while back, which I will probably end up not using - unless CityFibre's ONT's also fit it!

There appear to be two ethernet ports available in the wall socket which means two rooms will have corresponding sockets. I would guess the living and bed room.
From the switch, the ONT appears to be off. As others have stated, you must make sure this is on when the order is placed as OR do a remote check on the ONT to confirm it's available and working.
