Full fibre lag

HI - we have had 500mb FF for a few weeks. To start with all was well. fast speeds and TV reception good. Now everything is laggy and slow. Have done three speed tests - This does not look like what we had originally. this is what I now get.  any tips please?Screenshot 2026-04-26 at 16.59.15.pngScreenshot 2026-04-26 at 16.58.39.png

Re: Full fibre lag

Are you doing those tests over a wireless or wired connection ?

Re: Full fibre lag

Only wired tests can give a definitive answer but Check that your device is connected to the 5ghz WiFi band. . Those speeds are typical for a device connected to the 2.4ghz band

Re: Full fibre lag

ok just rechecked on ip address. I had switched 5ghz off to try to sort the wifi on the oven. I had clicked but clearly hadn't saved the changes. rookie error.

Re: Full fibre lag

If it's an AEG oven I wouldn't bother with the wifi. We replaced our old Bosch oven with AEG a few months back and it insisted on resetting itself two or three times before it would work. We had the AEG tech out twice, he said it was normal while the oven sought wifi connection even though it was deselected, AEG confirmed this in writing, we rejected the oven until the store manager fitted a new one and it worked as well as it's supposed to work, ie fiddly to operate, insists on closed door to grill so you can't see your sausages burning, etc. My wife and I agree it's the worst buy we ever made, as is our new AEG microwave, and we wish we had kept our old Bosch appliances and refitted them. Does anyone use wifi on their oven, or is it a gimmick like the new toothbrush which is claimed to have AI?

Re: Full fibre lag

Yes I use it all the time. I can set it remotely also it talks to my Apple Watch so it tells me when preheat is done, when time is up and I can switch oven off from my watch or phone.
