Full fibre coming soon

I know we will be getting full fibre at home in the next 6 months but my Plusnet contract is up at the end of this month. I'm unsure whether to take the discounted 1 or 2 year option, take the more expensive rolling monthly service.

I really need to understand whether Plusnet will offer me a move to full fibre within my contract or would I have to wait until it's complete?

There seems to be no way to get in touch with them hence trying here

Thanks

@Elgons

You can upgrade your connection any time you want during your contract. All that's required is to agree a new contract to replace the old one.

Fix

@Elgons Welcome to the forum. I would suggest you take the cheapest offered discounted rate on offer, or even ring Customer Options on 0800 0132632 and see if you can get an even better deal. When Full Fibre becomes available, you then call them again, saying you wish to change to the new product.

If they accept your order, once the FF is installed and working, your old 'Fibre' contract is closed (at no cost) and a new one - probably 2 years in length is created.

An I correct in thinking that Plusnet will have access to the BT fibre and the price would be competitive?

@Elgons

A note of caution, the soon coming Full Fibre needs to be supplied by Openreach NOT an Alt_Net as they are not used by plusnet.

Edit: plusnet are often cheaper than EE and BT, plusnet only offer a broadband service.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Full fibre coming soon

@Elgons PN only supply over the BT/OR  network, so yes they will have access. As to the price, see what deal you get when you call them to order.

I assume it's Openreach as I checked the BT website
