Full Fibre connection blip

Just had my service go off for 20 minutes. Logged into the Hub 2 and it said no connection in orange on the connection page this was about 12.10AM.

Clicked the help button on the connection page but that just gave me the PN phone number and there is no one there at this time of night.

In desperation I clicked restart the hub and after about 5 minutes the connection came back up. Will monitor from now but I have been connected since 16th September solidly.

Edit: found this in the log: WAN connection WAN1_INTERNET_ETH disconnected.[ERROR_NO_CARRIER]

Any ideas or is BT doing some work?

Yes I am back online now was only off 10 minutes or so. Was wondering if rebooting the hub had fixed it or further afield.

Re: Full Fibre connection blip

At that time of night and with a short outage I would guess some planned work by Openreach (or possibly Plusnet) impacting an exchange or group of exchanges.

I don't think it's anything your end or that you can do anything about.

@banger696

Openreach maintenance windows is between 00:00 to 06:00 so your outage could have been down to that.

On occasions the router may not recover resulting in a reboot being required, the Hub light would probably be solid orange.

If the light is flashing orange (for Full Fibre) that will be a disconnect between the Hub and ONT.

Hard to say in your case if the Hub reboot was required or if it was a coincident.

Re: Full Fibre connection blip

Possible useful info (if it helps pin down what happens and when).

My FTTP connection was recently regraded. That happened in the window shortly after 03:00 GMT.
