I have just requested to go on the FTTP trial on the 38Mb package, if i was to change my mind would it be easy enough to upgrade the speed to the higher speed one?.

it's basically FTTC but on technology ( I think) that has potential to go higher - I'd imagine up to 330/30 like current BT FTTP can do. However Plusnet won't and don't sell this to anyone.

Could you please explain how FTTP is basically FTTC?
FTTP stands for Fibre To The Premises which is exactly what it is there is no cabinet involved.
